Fig Tree Bush Camp
Owned by Mukambi Lodge, Fig Tree Bush Camp is an additional location in the park where guests can stay in tents on stilts. The place earned its name since the campsite is nestled directly under a magnificent fig tree. Unlike some of the other lodges, Fig Tree Bush Camp is communal, meaning campers will gather together under the fig tree to wine and dine together while enjoying the breathtaking view of the adjacent lagoon. Because of the remoteness of this location, big cats like lions and cheetahs are frequent visitors to the campsite (but don’t worry, the staff know exactly what they’re doing).

Busanga Plains Camp
Another fantastic remote location is Busanga Plains Camp (also run by Mukambi Lodge). Instead of the lagoon, Busanga Plains Camp is situated in the wetlands, meaning guests will relax and take in the vast landscape that seems like the end of the Earth. The camp offers fully-furnished safari tents with its own en suite open air bathrooms and a front door view of the open plains. During dinner, try to dine during sunset hours in the restaurant’s outdoor patio, that way you can catch the sky turn into brilliant shades of orange, pink and purple as you eat.
