Ibadan has very few restaurants where it is possible to dine in a relaxed, semi-formal environment; the majority are either fast food establishments, or local eateries serving variations on pounded yams and stew. While these can be fun culinary experience, Martha’s Kitchen offers a more professional level of service, cleanliness and food. The dining area is pleasant, air-conditioned, and enhanced by a solid design that mixes subtle African touches with bright (though not garish) styling.

Food is a mix of continental and Nigerian fare. Breakfast includes American, English or Nigerian options, while the lunch/dinner menu is an appetising mix of sandwiches, ribs, steak, pizza or pasta (for around N2-2500) or a mixed grill for the really hungry (N3500). Martha’s Kitchen is several years ahead of Ibadan’s other restaurant offerings in this regard, and aside from the hotel restaurants, it is really the only place where it is possible to take a client for a business lunch/dinner in relative style and comfort.
