A trendy modern bar on the busy Akin Adewola street it describes itself as ‘tasty food, friendly mood’ and has a decent claim to living up to this boast. It certainly covers a lot of bases comprising a Continental Menu (Bungalow), a Sushi and Tepanyaki offering (Bunyaki), a Mexican (Habaneros) and coffee bar (BunBeanos). Decor is clean and simple with a bank of TV’s showing news and sports throughout the day. The numerous bar/restaurants cafes are subdivided within the restaurant though in reality all food can be ordered from the main section. Bunyaki has a large banquet table with a tepanyaki grill set in the centre and it’s a popular spot for private hire and groups of up to 20. Saturday and Sunday nights also prove popular for the cocktail menu whilst during the week Bunbeanos is possibly the closest thing you will get to a Starbucks in Lagos. The staff are courteous and there are nice touches like the iPad menus, which reinforce the modern feel of the bar. A burger costs around N3400, enchiladas N4000 and a sushi platter comes in at N8500. The various menu offerings are a clever way of avoiding marginalising any potential customers in a city with such a broad range of nationalities and as such its very popular with larger groups of mixed nationality.
