As its name suggests, this family-owned business is situated not far from the beautiful Wli Falls. Visitors passing through here should consider staying here while exploring the Volta region. It’s a cozy hotel that doesn’t really feel like a hotel. It feels like you’ve been given a room in your — or someone’s — grandmother’s house, which is appropriate, because the family matriarch, who owns the hotel, wanders the premises, chats up her guests and may even offer you some freshly roasted groundnuts.

Amenities here are very basic. There is no TV and no wi-fi, so you’re really on your own in terms of finding entertainment. However, it’s easy to chat with the staff, who are available, hospitable and friendly, or you can engage with fellow travelers from various parts of the world.

The downside is that the rooms are a bit dusty and in need of some sprucing up, and the towels and bed sheets are tattered and old — it’s definitely time for a replacement. This isn’t the worst place to stay in the region, especially for the nightly rates, but some TLC is needed.

Other highlights include the fact that this place is short distance from Wli Falls, facts about Ghana and potential attractions of interest are plastered on the walls, and live African dance and drumming are offered on Friday and Saturday nights.
