Hidden in an alcove amidst a low-income area, Triniti is an oasis for weary travelers heading to or from the airport at odd hours. Most of Dar Es Salaam accommodation is found around the city center and Oyster Bay, but with this new addition to the Triniti family you now have the option of an easy transfer in and out of the airport — a real plus for those who are frequent travelers and don’t want to miss their flights or face hours in traffic. Triniti Airport lodge may be located in a run-down neighborhood, but it is perfectly safe and its proximity means that you will not have to wake up at 3:30am to catch a morning flight.

Where this lodge really stands out is in the little extras that make your stay easy and efficient. The food is unfussy, home-cooked fare: hearty, plentiful and delicious. Wi-Fi is free throughout the lodge and airport pick-up is also free, while drop-off will only set you back $5 (a massive bargain.) Each of the eight rooms is neat as a pin and brand new, with all the basic amenities like air-conditioning, shower and side tables. You can catch up on emails in the cozy little courtyard space, or grab a cold beer at the quaint bar area before your onward journey.

This property has only recently opened and a future seven rooms are planned, but in the interim booking ahead is vital.
