Stellar Lodge is a boutique hotel that actually felt like a boutique hotel. Many of the hotels that I experienced in Ghana that were described as boutique hotels felt more like motels, so the fact that the Stellar Lodge was exactly as described felt really good.

My room was clean and cozy and featured sleek minimalist but modern design aesthetics, and I didn’t want to leave — but I had to explore because duty called. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the front desk clerk went above and beyond to make sure that I had functioning wi-fi, which initially wasn’t working in my room. It started when he noticed that I was in the front desk area longer than usual, using my iPad. He pointed out that I could use the wi-fi in my room, but once I explained my problem he sprung into solution mode. He actually called the tech specialist who investigated the problem, reconnected the network and I was back in business.

I completed my tasks just before it was time to head out, and although I was tired and wanted to stay in bed watching Nollywood flicks, it was nice to get out and good to know that the Stellar Lodge is centrally located to most of the hot spots, particularly Captain Hook’s, Vienna City and more.

Champ’s Sports Bar is Stellar’s on-site bar, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. It features many Western food options and themed dinner nights like taco night, so if I didn’t want to leave the premises, I would have still been able to thoroughly entertain myself. Life should be about options, and at Stellar Lodge you have many.
