Travel Tip Of The Day: How To Go On a Camel Safari In Sharm El Sheikh

It may be a little touristy, but riding a camel through the Egyptian desert is on many people’s bucket lists.

And while most people go to Sharm el Sheikh to have fun in the sun while drinking cocktails by the pool, it’s easy to slip away and enjoy the desert.

There are several places to go with in the area, but one of the best is Do Something Different Tours.

For the price of $US40, they’ll pick you up directly from your hotel and take you out into the desert for a 30-minute camel ride plus a few bonuses.

Once they pick you up, you’ll be taken to the camel station where you’ll get a brief lesson on how to hold on (don’t worry, it’s not that hard).

Starting at the camel station, you’ll trek across the beautiful Egyptian desert while stopping along the way to take in the views (and a few photos, of course).

Then before you know it, you’ll arrive at a Bedouin camp where you’ll take a seat around the fire and enjoy a traditional dinner, tea, singing and dancing.

The particular tour departs daily year-round at 4:00 p.m. and lasts for five hours.

You can also book a similar tour through Sharm Excursions.
