Travel Tip Of The Day: Explore Cape Town At Night By Bike

It’s common knowledge that Cape Town is beautiful by day, but the gorgeous city by the ocean also shimmers spectacularly at night.

And like other cities, one of the best ways to see a lot of the city quickly is by bike.

If you happen to be in town during the full moon of each month, there is a great bike ride that explores some of the coolest spots around the city at night.

The Moonlight Mass Cycle is a bike ride that starts at the Green Point Circle at 21:00 on the full moon each month.

Along the way, you can cycle in a large group right down the main drags of Cape Town such as Long Street.

The ride lasts for about an hour and covers around 12km of the city streets.

It’s also super casual, so there’s no need to worry if you aren’t in the best of shape.

And don’t worry if you don’t have a bike, there are plenty of bike rentals throughout the city such as AWOL Tours and Rent a Bicycle.
