South African Airways, the national flag carrier of South Africa and Africa’s most awarded airline, recently launched its “Sizzling Summer Saver” sale, with fares starting at US$879 round-trip between New York (JFK) and Johannesburg (JNB), and starting at $1029 between Washington/Dulles (IAD) and Johannesburg.
Similar fares are being offered on flights between Washington DC and Accra, Ghana (from US$939).
Valid until: These fares are only available until September 15, 2015 for travel between 10/26/2015 – 12/9/2015 or 1/10/2016 – 3/31/2016 (JFK-JNB), and between 10/26/2015 – 12/9/2015 and 1/10/2016 – 3/31/2016 (IAD-JNB).
Restrictions:
- Must stay over one Sunday night for fares to apply.
- Maximum stay is 12 months from date of departure.
- Tickets must be purchased within 72 hours of reservation being made.
- Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights.
- Fares must be purchased by 9/15/2015.
- Cancellations before/after departure: fares and fuel surcharge (YR/YQ/Q) are non-refundable.
- Date change fee: $300 + any applicable fare difference.
- Baggage and optional service fees may apply.
- Reservations made 7 days or more prior to scheduled departure may be canceled without penalty up to 24 hours after the reservation is made.
