Casablanca is not necessarily a stop on every traveler’s Moroccan itinerary, but it should be. With stunning cultural and religious landmarks, fascinating architecture, numerous opportunities for outdoor recreation, and a lively shopping and cafe scene, there are plenty of things to do in Casablanca.

1. Prefecture Mechouar

This building once held offices of the Casablanca prefecture and features a bold combination of architectural styles. Look for the large central gate with accompanying guard. An expansive design makes it one of the most photographed parts of the site.

2. Notre Dame de Lourdes

Exquisite stained glass windows stand out on this beautiful church. Its quiet atmosphere gives travelers a welcome break from the hectic pace that surrounds the structure. Keep in mind that the church can become crowded with several tours.

3. Musee Abderrahman Slaoui

4. Old Medina

Enjoy the goods for sale in this traditional market space. Delicious local foods are also sold on a daily basis. It is easy to get lost among the lines of sellers but remember where you entered for added safety.

5. Mohamed V Square

Take a minute to enjoy this centrally located park. Its architecture and fountains are a highlight for travelers. The area is known for its photo opportunities including locals dressed in period costumes.

6. Hassan II Mosque

This well known mosque is one of the highlights of any trip to Casablanca. Stunning architectural elements can be found throughout the exterior and interior of its structure. Tourists may not be allowed at all times, so check with official guides about approved times.

7. Isesco Park

Get in a great run or just come for a calming atmosphere in this small park. Consider a picnic lunch that takes your group away from the crowded city streets.

8. Place des Nations Unies

Take time to experience the local stores and coffee shops that are scattered throughout this plaza. Avoid the guides that roam through the area as you wait for the charming daily sunset over the horizon.

9. Phare d’el Hank

Great views await visitors to this lighthouse near Boulevard de la Corniche. Locals can help visitors gain entrance to the steps, but there is no fee to access the site. We recommended you tip anyone who helps you during your visit.

10. Anfaplace Shopping Center

Anfaplace offers a modern shopping area with a food court, restaurants and boutiques. The shopping center presents a great stop for relaxing lunches that can be combined with other tours.

11. Aquaparc de Casablanca

Visitors seeking a fun filled day out will love this water park. A variety of slides are on hand for thrill seekers or just relax in one of the onsite pools.

12. La Ferme Art Nature

Take a relaxing break from a hectic journey in this beautiful natural area. Farming options give visitors with children a great learning opportunity. Restaurants and sporting activities such as swimming are also available. 

13. Villa des Arts de Casablanca

Art enthusiasts will love this space which features a constant rotation of different exhibitions. Artist workshops are also presented for additional insight into a wide range of subjects including current events. Tours are conducted at specific times, but special group tours can be arranged.

14. Playas Ain Diab y La Corniche

A beautiful getaway awaits visitors to this popular beach. Snacks and drinks are sold at the site, so plan on spending your day by the ocean. Shops are also nearby for quick purchases like sunscreen.

15. La Ferme Pedagogique

This educational attraction offers visitors a great experience. Guests can feed animals or learn about the uses for agricultural products such as special recipes. Arrange a spot in a cooking class or take your children to meet the animals living on the farm.
