Travel Tip Of The Day: Smartphone Gadgets For Better Photos

Almost everybody carries a smartphone with them to Africa these days to share selfies and photos on Instagram.

For the most part, just having a smartphone is enough for most photographic needs, but there are several smartphone gadgets that will help you improve your photography.

Speaking of selfies, you’ve probably already heard of the selfie-stick.

But in case you haven’t, the selfie stick is an extendable device that clips onto your camera allowing you to get better vantage points for those times you want to get a crazy selfie with an amazing backdrop in the background.

If you’re a selfie-addict, it’s a no brainer — just don’t be one of those annoying tourists who carries them literally everywhere.

Another great gadget add-on is a Gorilla Pod, they come in all kinds of styles to fit your needs and function as a flexible tripod that you can throw in your bag (or pocket in some cases) to break out anywhere.

If the built in lens on your smartphone isn’t cutting it, attaching a lens adapter can let you get some snaps that wouldn’t otherwise be possible.

This kit from Mpow comes with a fisheye lens (for cool effects), wide angle lens (for great landscapes) and a macro lens (for those up-close photos of flowers everybody loves to take).

And for the ultimate in range, this gadget from Snapzoom lets you hook up a pair of binoculars or even a telescope to your smartphone for getting super telephoto shots.

Good luck, and happy shooting.
