The Vineyard Deli is situated in the heart of the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town and has become a celebrated part of the local community since it opened its doors. Besides selling an amazing selection of hard-to-find, organic and gluten-free produce and delicatessen goods, The Vineyard Deli also have a great restaurant where you can sit down, have a coffee and enjoy a delicious meal that is sure to be a pleasant surprise. The Vineyard Deli serve some unique, tasty meals like Prego Rolls, Salmon Omelettes, Homemade Pies and are especially known for their great breakfasts. Along with all the great food you can enjoy in the restaurant, there are also a bunch of quick, ready-made meals to take on-the-go including some sandwiches you wouldn’t believe are so good! I visited the restaurant during their busiest time; Saturday morning, and what treated to great service and a warm atmosphere, perfect for brunch!

I ordered the local favourite at The Vineyard Deli which is definitely the Prego Roll served on two large slices of Rye bread and presently very well for such a small venue. This is one Prego Roll you won’t find anywhere else. The Prego sauce is rich in flavour and has a hint of BBQ to it. The steak itself is smothered in the sauce and is beautifully tender. The steak is topped with Swiss cheese and is a wonderful, fairly healthy meal for anyone to enjoy. I would definitely recommend trying this as a sit-down meal or taking it away next time you visit The Vineyard Deli.

With my meal, I enjoyed one of their freshly squeezed juices which is exactly what one needs on a Saturday morning. Fresh and delicious! For those with a sweet tooth, The Vineyard Bakery has a good selection of cakes and baked goods to satisfy any food allergy or craving. I recommend going out of your way to visit this place!
