I had heard about this place through social media often, and seen constant photos of gorgeous cups of coffee and cakes. I couldn’t wait to give it a try. So one morning when I ran out of coffee beans I decided it was a sign that I needed to visit Twigs with Beans.

Situated in the heart of the artsy Harfield Village, this lovely little café is very popular. I know if I lived in the area I’d be popping in often. The café itself is small and eclectic and has a very homely feel to it which I loved.

We settled ourselves on one of the couches and ordered some coffee. A cappuccino, an Americano, and of course a slice of carrot cake to share. The coffee was by Tribe and it was delicious and very well made. I chatted to the barista as I was at the counter and he looked very happy and confident with what he was doing. The cake was moist and very ‘more-ish’. Highly recommended.

I would definitely go for coffee and cake again, but I’d also love to try their breakfasts which are served until 12pm. Two that stood out to me were The Full Twig (two eggs, bacon, herb mushrooms, tomato, rocket, two slices of toast) and Half a Twig (one egg, bacon, herb mushrooms, tomato, rocket, one slice of toast). For the hungry and not so hungry.
