Located inside the Victoria Falls National Park gates – so you can’t eat here without paying the entrance fee to see the falls – this is a great place to grab lunch either before or after viewing. The menu is pretty varied, and includes a line-up of regional favorites like Zambezi bream and steaks, but also includes a few pasta dishes and baguette sandwich options. The salads here are a favorite. They come in a number of different styles and are absolutely massive – very easily big enough to share. If you don’t feel like eating, there is an equally appealing drink menu that includes everything from milkshakes to shandies (a mix of beer and soda) to vanilla lattes and of course the regular alcoholic beverage players.
Located right off the path leading to the falls, the cafe has a refreshing ambiance and lots of lush foliage to look at, plus some unique life sized folk art style sculptures. Service is pretty attentive, if a little slow, but the café is often packed considering its location. While you’re waiting for your food to come you can always meander across the walkway to the concession curio shop, which sells some nice up-market, cutting-edge handicrafts – there were some interesting bags when I was there – that make great gifts and aren’t found elsewhere.
