The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa needs to be on everyone’s list of ‘things to do before they die’. It’s an experience that I, personally, will never forget. We were lucky enough to stay over for the night and we were able to experience their beautiful sea-facing rooms as well as spend some time in their floatation pools and enjoy a long and rejuvenating massage.
We booked our dinner for 7pm, which gave us ample time for the massage and enough time to still get back to the room and get ready. We were still in the spa room when I suddenly realised it was already after 7pm and that we were still lounging around in our towels. That’s how relaxed we were. It’s not easy to get us to forget about our food. So after a quick change we rushed to get some food.
The Twelve Apostles offers two types of dining; the Azure Restaurant which offers fine dining and The Café Grill which has a more relaxed al fresco style to it. We weren’t looking for anything too big as we had already had quite an indulgent day, so we went to The Café Grill, which was still beautiful. The staff were highly attentive and made you feel very special. The husband went for the Classic Grilled Beef Burger which came with chopped lettuce, tomato, sauté onions, cheddar cheese and crispy fries. I went for the Chicken Caesar Salad which came with fresh organic cos lettuce coated with a creamy Caesar dressing, sprinkled with anchovies, crispy bacon, matured parmesan shavings and topped with herb croutons and chicken.
As we spent the night we also stayed for breakfast, which we enjoyed in the comfort of our own room. We just had to tick off a list what we wanted and what time. What a way to start the day. A delicious breakfast, enjoyed while overlooking the sea and the mountains. Gorgeous.
This is by far one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever had the privilege of staying at.
