I have heard such conflicting reviews about this place from my friends. One tells me they love it so much and cannot stop going, the other tells me he hates it and wouldn’t go back. So it was with mixed emotions that we went for dinner last night.

The place is quite big and it was very busy, but luckily we had booked a table. The place seemed a bit chaotic though they were finally able to show us to our table. Our waitress was very sweet but got a lot of things wrong. She brought the wrong drinks, and forgot a lot of the order.

Most of us decided to go for the R139 all-you-can-eat option which I think the waitress was grateful for, as it made her life a lot easier. Having said that she still kept forgetting what we ordered. Despite the chaos and the bad service I was pleasantly surprised by the sushi. There is always a limit on the amount of sashimi or salmon roses at these buffets, however this one allowed for unlimited salmon roses as well eight portions of sashimi. I ended up having four pieces of salmon sashimi and four pieces of seared tuna sashimi. It was by far the best sashimi I’ve had.

So the food is amazing, I thoroughly enjoyed all my sushi, the sashimi, salmon roses and bamboo roses being my best. But the place itself isn’t great, nor is the service.
