Get your kick of fresh, healthy food at Pulp Kitchen at Willowbridge Shopping Mall. They serve a great selection of breakfasts until 12:00 and offer fantastic coffee from the local favourites Deluxe Coffee Co. If you’re there for lunch, you can enjoy some organic wine or craft beer with a gourmet sandwich, burger or salad. They also serve a great selection of freshly baked goods where you’re bound to find something that catches your fancy. Although they offer some wonderful products like Knead Bread and gluten-free alternatives, you can expect a long wait for your food. They also serve a Burger of The Day to passers-by who can be certain of a tasty burger to enjoy while they shop.

For mains, I ordered The Burger That Puts You “Bacon” Top. Think of a pure beef patty with lettuce, rocket, fresh avocado and bacon served on a multi-seed artisan bun with added cheddar cheese. Although a bit pricey for the portion, my burger was incredibly tasty and you could tell it was a homemade patty with great smokey bacon flavour. The multi-seed bun made the meal as it was an unusual alternative to the normal white bun. I would definitely stop by to enjoy this burger again when I’ve got a few hours to spare.

To enjoy with my burger, I ordered a Pukka Chai smoothie with chai, honey, banana, low fat milk and vanilla frozen yoghurt. It was thick, fresh and creamy and great to enjoy on a warm afternoon. If you’re not in the mood for chai, there are plenty of other smoothies to enjoy at Pulp Kitchen including freshly made juices that will blow your mind.

For dessert, I had to try the Raw Milk Tart Brownie and Peanut Butter Brownies. The raw milk tart brownie is something I’ve never seen before and something I really, really enjoyed. I would definitely go back just for this brownie. The peanut butter brownie was just as good and served with rice crispy treat chocolate base. Yum!
