By far one of the cutest places I have been to. Everyday they have a blackboard outside with a new quote. Today’s quote was ‘Live your life in the manner that you would like your kids to live theirs’. Tea, obviously, is a very big element to them and they offer a huge tea menu with a huge selection of different teas on offer and a beautiful arrangement of tea pots and tea accessories on display. There’s something so nice about this place, and it all feels quite magical. Rather Alice in Wonderland-ish.
Despite the name and their love of tea, they are also very passionate about their coffee. Which is good for me because I’m not the biggest tea fan. So this morning I ordered my favourite coffee drink, the Americano, topped with a dash of hot milk. Something as simple as coffee and they get it just right. The coffee was delicious and beautifully strong. Their coffee beans are sourced from Origin artisan roasters which is definitely one of the best in Cape Town. The coffee arrived with the cutest little basket of biscuits. Something as simple as this made for a memorable experience. I also ordered one of their savoury muffins which I absolutely loved.
They offer a great breakfast, lunch and sweet treat selection. My favourite breakfast is definitely the herbed scrambled egg croissant with roasted tomato and fresh salad. My favourite lunch is definitely the Crumbed aubergine which comes with creamed seasonal vegetables and green salad. I haven’t had any of their sweet treats yet but they are normally on display for you to see as they change daily.
