This is not one specific restaurant, but rather a market of sorts that opens itself up to a group of talented creatives to show off their passions. Both a day and a night market, and most popular by far on Saturdays, it is home to a wide range of designers, artists, photographers, crafters, etc.
Mostly, though, people go for the food. The Old Biscuit Mill is open 6 days a week and the Neighboursgoods Market is open on Saturdays from 9am – 2pm. This market is where you’ll find a huge variety of food and drink stalls on offer and where so many talented cooks are standing by to showcase their products.

Every Saturday, both at breakfast and at lunch time, the place is packed. If you don’t like crowds you may find the whole thing a bit claustrophobic and if that is the case I’d suggest going when it’s not directly breakfast or lunch. It’s popular for a reason though and it’s such a fun place to go and eat. Probably the biggest problem you are going to have is actually trying to decide what you want to eat because there is just so much choice and everything looks amazing. I normally have to go around the market at least two or three times before finally settling on a choice. Then it’s off to find a free seat to eat, or else you just find a place on the floor to enjoy your meal. There are so many food options to eat as well as food products on offer to take home, so make sure you bring some cash with on the day because you are going to want to spend. There are also a good few coffee stalls, beer stalls, juice stalls and wine stalls so the choice is wide and varied.

It’s a very ‘Cape Town’ thing to do, so if you haven’t been I would definitely suggest it. Go hungry.
