NY Slice is a new member of the Kloof Street restaurant club and after wanting to go explore its tiny interior for the few months since it’s been open, I finally found the time to stop by and I’m so happy I did! Besides serving authentic delicious Manhattan-style pizza by the slice, these guys also serve alcohol and are open late. It’s the perfect place to grab a huge slice of your favourite pizza on-the-go, during lunch or after a few drinks. Eat in or take your slice to go, it’s up to you but you may not have an option as this place only seats about 6 people max. If you just can’t get enough of their saucy, cheesy pizza, buy a whole pizza for a great price and experience some genuine value for money. This place is seriously like pizza heaven!

NY Slice looks like it’s come straight out of New York City, with its funky NYC-themed décor and cool vintage exterior, you’ll have tons to look at while the friendly guys behind the counter heat up a slice for you. They also serve Deluxe Coffee and have a bunch of fun gimmicks like “Spin the Wheel and Win” and a scoring board where your name can go down in NY Slice history for ever.

I ordered a slice of Margarita to really taste the quality of their “famous” pizza. A few minutes later I was blown away by the unique flavour of this gigantic slice of pizza. The tomato sauce was really amazing and the crust was soft, yet crispy enough to hold onto. They serve a few different pizzas each day and would happily make you anything you want if you’re ordering a whole one. Hmm, I can’t wait to go back!
