Lemon-Butta is known around the Northern Suburbs for its superb seafood and sushi, BUT they do so much more than fish! Located in Willowbridge mall, the restaurant has a great outside seating area featuring a deck, umbrellas and even heaters for the colder months. They also have a great, bold inside area with a cool sushi bar and small wine cellar that adds some wonderful atmosphere to the place. Besides their well-known seafood combos and platter with a Mediterranean twist, Lemon-Butta also offer pasta, curry, steaks, burgers and house specialities that sound mouth-watering. They also have a great kid’s menu for under 12s and the restaurant is very family-friendly.

For starters, I ordered Philip’s Mezze platter to really get a taste of their seafood. The platter included grilled halloumi, calamari tubes, chorizo and fried calamari tentacles. It came with a nice, subtle tartar sauce and was a definite winner! The fried tentacles were a highlight but the calamari-chorizo combo was something I haven’t tried before and can’t wait to have again. The halloumi was a little bit salty but still delicious!

For mains, I ordered the 300g Portuguese Steak with a traditional sunny side up egg and a choice of chips, rice or salad. I was impressed by the big portion of thick-cut, crunchy chips and my steak was perfectly cooked and incredibly juicy. It had a great grilled flavour and after eating it, I would definitely recommend their steaks any day.

To end the meal, I tucked into the Homemade Chocolate Brownies that came with vanilla ice cream and cream. What a big portion and the chocolate brownie was so moist, it was almost raw, but absolutely delicious. Not too sweet, but a definite must-try! All in all, Lemon-Butta has a lot to offer and it’s no wonder they are so popular, especially on weekends. It seems like no matter what you order at Lemon-Butta, it’s going to be a great meal!
