La Vie is a great place to grab a bite on Beach Road, Sea Point. The restaurant has a relaxed, modern vibe and fits in well with the casual atmosphere of Sea Point beachfront. If you’re looking to grab lunch by the sea and take in all that Beach Road has to offer, La Vie won’t disappoint. I found that the food was above average and well-priced. Nothing really blew me away but I would return if I was in the area and looking to enjoy a warm, summer day. They serve everything from pizza to sushi to cocktails and everything I’ve tried there has been up to par. They have light options, breakfasts and great bar food for when you’re just grabbing a craft beer on tap in the stylish bar area. I would definitely recommend trying La Vie out!

For lunch, I enjoyed the crispy calamari salad which was meant to be a main portion but I felt it was more of a starter. The calamari wasn’t very crispy but it was tender and I enjoyed the tentacles that they included. It was a bit pricey for the size but it was satisfactory.
I also ordered the Classic Greek Pizza which I really enjoyed. There was a generous amount of cheese and the base was thin and crispy. I would definitely recommend the pizzas to anyone looking for a reliable option.

All in all, the food was good and the prices weren’t too bad. You can find more reasonable options on the menu like the breakfasts, sandwiches, wraps and burgers. They do make a good cocktail and you won’t get bored with choices. This is the perfect sundowners spot in Sea Point and I would recommend visiting it yourself over a weekend or warm evening.
