With a Caribbean décor, some good ol’ Jamaican music and an atmosphere that just makes you want to relax, this is the perfect place to spend a long evening with friends. The cocktails were half price so one of our friends went for the Volcano, a blended strawberry daiquiri and pina colada. He said it tasted like he should be lying on an island on a hot summer day. I was very tired after having done a half-marathon that morning and didn’t feel like alcohol, so I asked for some orange juice and the waiter suggested he blend orange and strawberry together for me. Great suggestion. It looked like I was drinking a cocktail and it tasted delicious. My husband opted for the Boston IPA beer which was advertised as a slightly bitter yet refreshing ale made with saaz and hops. Easy drinking with tons of flavour.
The reason I went there that night was because I was craving a good steak, so I chose the 200g sirloin with vegetables. It was delicious and presentation was good. My only penchant was that there could have been a few more vegetables. Other than that though I loved it. My husband went for the ‘Sup’M Sirloin’ which was a 200g sirloin, pocketed and filled with cheese and topped with a bacon, garlic and mushroom sauce. As much as I enjoyed mine I had quite a lot of order envy when I looked at his, so I would definitely recommend this one. Our friend went for one of the gourmet burgers, the ‘Barbados Burger’, which was a beef patty topped with BBQ, bacon, cheese sauce and a grilled pineapple ring. He loved it.
Our waiter was incredible and the whole night was great. I would definitely go back, probably on a night when I had no plans the next day and I could sit for hours trying out all their cocktails. Great vibe.
