Hillcrest is very well known for the delicious wine produced on the farm, but what they also offer is an awesome restaurant with a stellar view and some great food. If you’re in the mood for wine tasting and olive tasting, this is the place to come. If wine and olives just won’t cut it, they also serve a great selection of breakfasts until 11am, a kids menu and a great lunch menu until 3pm. This was my second time at Hillcrest Restaurant and after my first dining experience here wasn’t very good, I decided to give it another try! The last time I was very disappointed with the food and service at Hillcrest, but I was pleasantly surprised when things were completely different on my second visit. It was a warm but windy Saturday afternoon and although there was space outside on the wooden decks, I chose to sit inside to take shelter from the wind. Although the restaurant was reasonably busy, the service and quality of food was much better than when I first visited Hillcrest.

My waiter was very pleasant, patient and recommended that I try the very popular Chef’s Burger. You’ll find a big selection of salads, light meals, fish, platters and desserts on the lunch menu at Hillcrest and I was very impressed to see a great Weekend Specials menu on display including breakfast and lunch specials.

The Chef’s Burger is a 220 gram pure beef patty on a toasted Panini dressed with crisp lettuce, tomato, caramelized onion and guacamole. Topped with a slice of brie and laced with pepper sauce. It’s served with chips but unfortunately, mine were cold by the time they arrived at my table. The burger was incredibly tasty, meaty and filling. I would definitely recommend ordering the Chef’s Burger or the BTL & Cheese Burger as it sounds just as delicious! I was also impressed by the presentation as it was modern and inviting!
