This is the place to be in Plett. If you are on holiday or just having a casual lunch, Cornuti’s is the hot spot. Family owned for years, Cornuti’s Plett branch is quite popular with locals and tourists during the Christmas holiday season. Cornuti’s is centrally located and has an open atmosphere dining space which is perfect for beach-style living in the seaside town. Cornuti’s is known for its pizza, but it has a diverse menu and a top-rate chef who can make a variety of dishes other than pizza. Our table ordered a few pizzas and everyone was quite satisfied by the taste and quality. We also ordered calamari with chorizo, which was absolutely delicious (and goes surprisingly well on pizza as one of my friends pointed out), as well as lamb skewers served with a few dipping sauces and a salad with chicken, bacon and avocado. Everything was enjoyable. The portions are quite large and the prices are definitely appropriate. Service at Cornuti’s is entertaining, our server was full of quips and jokes and brought us everything quickly with a great attitude. Be warned that Cornuti’s undergoes quite the transition from daytime eating or dinner to one of the most popular nightspots in Plett during high season. Therefore, if you are having a late dinner, don’t be surprised if things get loud and lively after a certain hour because people of all ages will begin to imbibe in true holiday spirit. I am all for this, but if you go to have a family dinner, especially with small children, you should prepare for some action all around the restaurant at a certain point in the evening. Nonetheless, no matter what company you keep, you should definitely find Cornuti’s at least once while in Plett.
