Magnifico, formally known as Café Magnifico, is a great place to grab a quick breakfast, lunch or early dinner with some excellent daily specials and some lighter options too. The restaurant at Willowbridge also features a gelato bar which is fantastic for kids and dessert. The service is decent and the prices are reasonable. You’ll find some great Greek dishes on the main menu as well as the specials board, so don’t forget to ask your waiter about the daily specials.
For starters, I had the Greek Mezze Platter with dolmades, toasted pita, grilled halloumi, olives, Greek meatballs, tzatziki, humus and fresh rocket. I was surprised at how tasty and simply this starter was and it would make a great platter to share with the table while you decide on your mains. The lamb meatballs were absolutely delicious and the grilled halloumi was great. It seems Greek food is something Magnifico is very good at!
For mains, I ordered the Grilled Lamb Chops off the specials board. The portion was small for the price but the chops were tender and succulent. It was served with tzatziki and chips and came in a lemon and herb basting. Another great Greek dish!
To accompany my meal, I ordered a Freezochino Coffee which is dairy and fat free. I love the subtle coffee taste and the refreshing blended ice consistency. It’s also available in vanilla and chocolate if you’re not a coffee fan.
For dessert, I stayed with the Greek menu and ordered the Greek Yoghurt with Nuts and Honey. It would made a great, clean breakfast but wasn’t as satisfying as a dessert. The honey is served on the side so you can add as much or as little as you like. It’s a very light dish and perfect for Greek yoghurt lovers!

I’m not a big fan of restaurants in shopping malls, purely because I find they lack the ambiance that other restaurants might have. However I must say I really enjoyed sitting down for breakfast at Magnifico. You have the option of sitting very much in the open, or choosing a more secluded table and booth inside. Despite being quite a big restaurant the service was good and we heard of no complaints with those around us.
They have some great all-day breakfast specials catering for the not-so-hungry to the very hungry. I went for the Mini Magnifico which was two eggs, bacon, grilled tomato and toast. It was simple but delicious. My husband chose the eggs Benedict (two poached eggs, toasted English muffin and Hollandaise sauce) with bacon, mushrooms and caramelized onions. He devoured it and said it was delicious. Our friend went for the open bacon and egg cheese bagel which came with two eggs, bacon, white cheddar, tomato and fresh rocket. This looked amazing and I definitely had a bit of order envy.
Overall the food was very good, at a very decent price and the service was great. There is nothing else really in the way of ambiance or experience, but if you’re looking for a nice place to stop and have something to eat after a day of shopping then this is the place to go. My eyes were a bit wide when spotting the lady next to me order a big chocolate milkshake so I definitely think I’m going to have to go try one soon.
