The distinguished Bosman’s is located on the grounds of one of South Africa’s only five-star estate properties, the Grand Roche Hotel. It has been a destination dining experience for Cape gourmands for the best two decades –- not only is the food to die for, so is the wine region setting.

The winner of multiple awards, including an award of excellence from Wine Spectator, Bosman’s sits in an unassuming t-shaped, white washed manor house that dates back to 1707. It serves innovative and artful South African country fare, which is the creation of Michelin trained executive chef Roland Gorgosilich, and prepared with foodies in mind – think lots of fish and local meats prepared with European influenced flavors. The restaurant is also famous for its wine list, which is about 50-pages long and considered one of the best in the world. The well-stocked cellar includes rare varietals and vintage champagnes, and there is even a sommelier team on hand to assist with food parings and conduct private tastings.

If the weather permits, book the terrace overlooking the rose garden, and surrounding valley and mountains for your meal – for a more formal experience, dine inside at plush tables under crystal chandeliers. Between March and November, the restaurant hosts a special Culinary Innovations Programme featuring well-known authors and wine makers hosting special event evenings – see the website for more details.
