A very classy restaurant on Enterprise Road, Amanzi brings home rave reviews from locals and visitors alike. It is acclaimed for its delectable international fare and absolutely beautiful decorating. The gardens here are exquisite manicured affairs full of beautiful indigenous plants and flowers – loyal clients will tell you that you must eat here once during the day and once at night as both provide a visually different experience.
Night or day, the food remains the same, however, and that is excellent. It is an eclectic fusion of Asian and African tastes that explode with flavor and individuality – dishes included char grilled Kudu wrapped in pancetta and groundnut chicken stew. Sit inside the old colonial home, which is done up with gorgeous African décor and walls adorned with local art that is for sale, or outside on the verandah that overlooks those amazing gardens. There is live music some nights, and if you don’t want to order dinner, you can always hit up the equally romantic bar, order a cocktail and step onto the terrace and get the magic garden-in-the-city experience Amanzi exudes.
