I was advised to go here by a friend and to be honest I was somewhat skeptical. I didn’t think the food was going to be anything out of the ordinary due to its somewhat basic interior. There are orange and green chairs throughout, along with some larger than life photos along the walls. It’s clean, modern and simple, somewhat what you might expect from a restaurant situated inside a hotel. Boy, was I wrong.

As soon as we sat down at the table, a complimentary appetizer of breadstick crackers and olive oil arrived (both delicious) and got us in the mood for our meal. We split a salmon salad and the butter chicken, the house special. The salmon had ultra crisp lettuce, and freshly grilled large chunks of salmon sprinkled on top with a tasty dressing. It would have been a star meal, if it wasn’t overshadowed by the mouth-watering butter chicken. It came out in a tagine, somewhat Moroccan style, and was literally bubbling because it was so hot. Once it cooled down I took a bite and enjoyed possibly the most tender chicken I’ve ever had. It literally melted in your mouth and although it isn’t an Indian restaurant at all, can easily best 9 out of 10 Indian restaurants on its butter chicken. Seriously, get it. It’s not quite as spicy as I like (I dig ultra spicy) but the flavor profile will have most people sold on it. It’s also full of excellent cuts, no bones or skin floating around like you get at some places.

After chowing down on the curry, which took two of us to finish, we wanted something sweet for dessert. We ended up with the lemon upside down cheesecake, which surprisingly came out in a cute mason jar with crumbles on the bottom, cheesecake in the middle and lemon curd on top. It was excellent and did the job.

After discovering this restaurant, we ended up coming back here for breakfast, and it turned out to be just as delicious. There is a nice omelette bar and great spread of hot and fresh breakfast. Business people in the area seem to know about it as well, and it was packed with people that were suited up, ready to face the day.
You really can’t go wrong with Aarya at all, especially for the price. It’s not exactly where you want to take a romantic date, but the food quality is top notch. I’ve even at over half a dozen places at Montecasino and this is probably the best bang for your buck you’ll find.
