1. You Bought Your Cat A Christmas Present 

The cat doesn’t know what Christmas is or why they’re getting another ball of wool (or whatever you buy a cat). I mean, shopping for relatives is hard enough so why put yourself through that stress over a cat.

2. You Celebrate Its Birthday 

The bakery you got to make the cake must have given you strange looks when you requested a cake that read “Happy Birthday Mr Whiskers.” Plus you threw a little party to celebrate and forced your friends to bring the kitty gifts.

3. You Stay In And Have Dinners For Two 

By two I mean you and your cat. You cuddle up on the couch, order pizza with extra anchovies on the side and watch a movie. A little human interaction wouldn’t be bad, don’t you think?

4. You Never Travel For More Than A Week

Because you’ll miss your little ball of fur way to much, and they’ll miss you even more — obviously. Even when you won that month long trip to Greece, you decided against it.

5. You Refer To It As Your Child 

Who needs to have a real baby to understand the concept of motherhood. You’re pet can be your child, too. And if anyone has anything to say about you’ll disown them.

6. You Own Cat Print Sweaters

Your wardrobe is filled with cat print everything so that the whole world will know you’re a cat person. This can either give people a warning to avoid you completely or allow fellow cat lovers to become your best friend.

7. All Your Clothes Have Cat Fur On It 

You can easily just roll all the cat fur off your clothes, but you enjoy having a bit of your bundle of love close to you all the time. Remember some people in your office may be allergic to cats, and in this case you.

8. You Have A Cat Tattoo

Whether it’s a paw tattoo or a full on portrait of your cat on your chest, you are super proud of your ink and show it off anytime you can. It shows your true love for these creatures.

9. Cleaning Up Cat Poop Is An Every Day Exercise 

The look, feel and smell of cat bodily fluids (including poop, pee, vomit and puss) doesn’t freak you out at all! You’ll gladly just clean it up with out batting an eyelid.

10. Your Cat Rules Your House

If your cat is sleeping on the TV remote then you won’t watch TV. If it wants to lie on the couch when you’re having guests over, then everyone needs to sit on the floor. It’s simple – Mr. Whiskers always gets what he wants.

Yes, you might lose sleep when your cat wakes up and starts walking on your body, but that’s just an opportunity for you to grab it and get in some extra cuddles. And yes, you might smell like a cat when you wake up, but that’s what showers are for.

15. Not Loving Cats Could Be A Relationship Deal Breaker

“So are you a cat person?” The answer to this simple question could make or break your relationship. If the answer is yes, you might as well get married now and adopt five more cats.
