The Juma Masjid Mosque in Durban, also known as the Grey Street Mosque is our featured throwback Thursday photo of the day. The photo originates from a postcard on the Facts About Durban website is undated, but by the look of the vehicles on the street, its pre-1950s.
Below is a modern-day color photo of the same mosque with its gleaming golden minarets — which looks quite the same as in the 1950s, but the skyline behind is very different now.
